St. Anthony Village, MN 55418-2553
Friday, July 13, 2008
Mike Mornson, St. Anthony City Manager
3301 Silver Lake Road
St. Anthony, MN 55418
Dear Mr. Mornson,
Please accept this correspondence as a letter of interest in participating in the task force that
will help research the possibility of a single garbage hauler in St. Anthony.
I have lived and owned a horne in St. Anthony since November 2000. My career has been in
corporate benefits.' I have worked in a local firm as a consultant/senior benefits analyst to law
firms, manufacturing companies, retail stores, and other clients regarding their defined
contribution plans. Prior to that, I worked at Honeywell in their corporate benefits department
and at Dayton Hudson (now Target) in their corporate benefits department. For the last four
years, I have been a stay-at-home mother to my children: a 4'/z and a 2 '/2 year old.
I believe that many skills I utilized in my career will transfer to the work that will need to be done
by the task force members. In my last position as a consultant, one of my responsibilities
included the complete process of requests -for -proposals (RFP) projects for our clients. I have
experience collecting data and information and presenting such data in a manner to the client so
the various vendors can be compared as objectively as possible. The purpose is to select a
new vendor that meets the goals of the organization or to document that the current vendor
continues to meet the goals. I also have extensive experience working with clients and
employees in explaining benefits, plans, and regulations along with problem -solving issues they
are experiencing.
My main reason, though, for my interest in participating in the task force is that I am proud to be
part of the St. Anthony community as a resident. My husband and I are raising our children in
this great city and we have made such wonderful friends in our neighbors. I care about the
vitality of our city and our residents. I would like to contribute to my city, and the task force, in
whatever capacity is deemed helpful. I applaud the City Council in requesting research on our
city's procedures in areas such as a garbage hauling. Such actions will ensure the continued
strength of our city. Thank you!
Sincerely,
0 414-w"'t«( )%pwr e
Cynthia Moracco
