He stated it was good to see <br />people from [lie public and the garbage haulers. The task force mcmbcrs asked a lot of <br />good questions. <br />• Northwest Youth and Family Services Board meeting. There will be a ground breaking <br />on a new addition to facilities. <br />Mayor Faust reported on his attendance at the following events: <br />• Single Garbage Mauler Task Force meeting on August 18"' <br />• Metropolitan Cities Revenue and 'taxation Committee meeting oil August 19"' <br />League of Minnesota Cities Personnel Committee meeting on August 21" <br />• League of Minnesota Cities Board meeting on August 21". tach board member will be <br />providing information on a green initiative or environmentally friendly initiative ol'thcir <br />city. Ile spoke about St. Anthony's Salt and Sanding Program, the Adopt a 13euch <br />Program, and the Water Reuse Project. <br />• Walk About and Briefing on the Water Reuse Project on August 26"' <br />VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items that <br />are not on the regular agenda. <br />Hearing none, Mayor Faust moved forward with the agenda. <br />IX. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENT'S. <br />Mayor Faust announced that the September 8, 2008 City Council meeting is scheduled for 8:00 <br />p.m. due to primary election. <br />Mayor Faust stated Councilmember Thuesen is not present tonight due to surgery he needed to <br />take care of immediately. His prognosis is good, but he will be absent for a while.
