ANTHONY PROPOSL_D 2009 TAX LEVY AND BUDGET IN COMPLIANCE WITI-I TI II; TRUI'I11N TAXATION ACT WHEREAS, State Law requires that the City of St. Anthony provide Hennepin and Ramsey Counties with a proposed certified 2009 property tax levy and budget; and WHEREAS, the City Council discussed key financial issues and budgeting goals at their January, 2008, goal setting session, held a Public hearing on April 22, 2008, reviewed the 2009 tax levy and budget at their April 29, 2008 and July 29, 2008, work sessions; and WHEREAS, the City Council further reviewed the 2009 properly tax levy, operating budget and the levy limit established by the Minnesota Department of Revenue at their September 3, 2008, work session; and WI E'REAS, the furnishing of this proposed tax levy and budget is made contingent upon any revisions being allowed if current law is modified; and WHEREAS, the information required for the City Council to determine a definitive tax levy will be determined when the City of St. Anthony holds its Truth -in -Taxation public hearing on Monday, December 8, 2008; and if necessary hold its reconvening hearing on Tuesday, December 23, 2008; NOW, THF,REFORE, I E' IT RESOLVED that: 1) The collectible 2009 proposed property tax levy is: General Fund Property Tax Levy Road Improvement Levy Lease Revenue Bonds/Public Facilities Housing & Redevelopment Authority Levy Tax Abatement Levy - Central Park/Emerald Bonds PERA Rate Increase Levy Total 2009 Proposed Tax Levy 2) The 2009 General Fund Proposed Budget totals $5,277,400.
