ANTHONY <br />CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />SEPTEMBER 23, 2008 <br />CALL TO ORDER. <br />Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br />Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />ROLL CALL. <br />Present: Mayor Faust; Councilmembers Gray, Roth, and Stille <br />Absent: Councilmember Thuesen <br />Also Present: Assistant City Manager Kim Moore -Sykes <br />CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING <br />ITEMS. <br />I. APPROVAL OF SEPTEMBER 23, 2008 CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. <br />Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Roth, to approve the City <br />Council Meeting Agenda of September 23, 2008. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />IL PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. <br />A. Kiwanis Peanut Day Proclamation. <br />Councilmember Stille recited the Kiwanis Peanut Day Proclamation, designating Friday, <br />September 25, 2008 as St. Anthony Kiwanis Peanut Day. <br />Mr. Tom Miller, Kiwanis Chub, stated the Kiwanis Club is asking that the City proclaim <br />September 26°i as Kiwanis Peanut Day. This is the Kiwanis Club's 37°' year of asking for <br />donations from the community, and they are giving out bags of peanuts in token of their <br />appreciation. <br />Mr. George Wagner, Kiwanis Club, reviewed the kids clubs supported by the Kiwanis Club. lie <br />stated the Kiwanis Club gives to various organizations, particularly if they have an interest in <br />children, including a camp for diabetic children and a camp for disabled children. Funds also go <br />to an orphanage in the Philippines and to scholarships. The funds all go back to the community, <br />particularly to children. <br />1 <br />
