The goals are being looked at in five year increments, which will be updated and reviewed annually at a Goal Setting Retreat. Mayor Faust commended the efforts of staff and Council with the goals. 9 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. 10 I 1 Mr. Morrison reported on the following: 12 W Alcohol compliance checks were conducted in October. All businesses in the City that 13 serve alcohol passed the compliance checks. 14 9 The fist November City Council meeting has been rescheduled to Wednesday, 15 November 12t" due to the Veterans' Day holiday on Tuesday, November 11"i. 16 ® Council members are requested to inform staff it they are planning to attend the Metro 17 Cities Regional meeting. 18 d Stacic Kvilvang of Ehlers & Associates and lie met with Fannie Mae this morning and 19 requested an extension on the Silver Lake Village loan as requested by Lenn Pratt, 20 Housing Developer for Silver Lake Village. The impression is that the extension will be 21 granted, and that Fannie 'Mac will be expecting payments from the developer by the end 22 of the year. 23 m Information on Planning Commission and Park Commission vacancies are included in 24 the City Newsletter 25 b The City ordinance has been amended to allow parking on City streets from November 1" 2.6 to April 1". The snow emergency hotline will be updated to provide information on 27 whether there is a snow emergency in effect. The hotline number is 612-782-3333. 'I`he 28 ordinance amendment includes a sunset and the new parking requirements will be 29 reviewed in the spring. 30 The City has received many absentee ballots. Parking at City I Iall will be posted "Voting 31 Only" on Election Day. There will be overflow parking available at the church across the 32 street and at the fire station. The other two precincts will be signed for voting parking as 33 well. 34 35 COUncilmember Roth suggested incorporating a. text messaging system if it is determined to 36 continue with the snow emergency process after the review in the spring.
