City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />November 12, 2008 <br />Page 5 <br />1 Councilmember Stille noted "Potentially Dangerous" is not included in this ordinance, and that <br />2 there was discussion during the last dangerous dog hearing about how dogs labeled as potentially <br />3 dangerous could later be determined not to be potentially dangerous. Mr. Morrison replied the <br />4 Police Chief has a lot of discretion in this area. He explained this is just one piece of the animal <br />5 control ordinance; the proposed amendment is only meant to comply with the minimum <br />6 requirements of state statute. <br />8 Motion by Councilmember Thuesen, seconded by Councilmember Roth, to approve first reading <br />9 of Ordinance 08-007; Dangerous Dog Ordinance. <br />10 <br />1 I Motion carried unanimously. <br />12 <br />1.3 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />1.4 <br />15 City Manager Mornson reported on the following: <br />16 N Silver Lake Road Ribbon Cutting—November 14, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. <br />17 8 The last Single Hauler Garbage Task Force meeting is scheduled for Monday, November <br />18 17, 2008 at 6:30. <br />19 W November 25, 2008 City Council meeting agenda: Fire Poster Boards, Planning <br />20 Commission Item, Comprehensive Plan Approval. <br />21 W Metro Cities Regional meeting is scheduled for November 20, 2008. <br />22 W Recodification adoption is scheduled for the January 13, 2008 City Council meeting. <br />23 ® Water Reuse Project/Todd I-Iubmer have been submitted as project and engineer of the <br />24 year. <br />25 ® Thank you to City Clerk Barb Suciu and the election judges for their work on last week's <br />26 election. City Clerk Suciu will be involved with the Coleman/Franken Senate recount <br />27 W Commendations to Kiel Rushton for his work with meeting cablecasts. Kiel will be <br />28 stepping aside as cable operator after this year to attend night school. <br />29 <br />30 Councilmember Gray: No report. <br />31 <br />32 Councilmember Roth reported on the Northwest Youth and Family Services Report to the City. <br />33 Through the City's contract with Northwest Youth and Family Services it has provided the <br />34 organization with $3,695 for the months of January — September 2008. According to the report <br />35 submitted by Northwest Youth and Family Services, the organization has provided the City of St. <br />36 Anthony with $21,400 in services during these months. <br />37 <br />38 Councilmember Stille reported on his attendance at the November 2, 2008 Sister City Committee <br />39 meeting.
