STAFF REPORT 87 <br />To: Mayor and City Council Report No.: <br />Mike Morrison, City Manger <br />From: Kim Moore -Sykes, Assistant City Manager!,/s <br />Date: February 4, 2009 <br />Subject: Proposed Revisions to Section 305.04 - Planning Commission Compensation <br />Background: <br />Council has requested the Staff prepare a revision to Section 305.04, Planning Commission Compensation. <br />Currently, Section 305.04 provides financial remuneration on a monthly basis for the Planning Commission <br />members to compensate them for their expenses to attend monthly meetings. <br />The current language of Section 305.04 does not restrict payments to the attendance of Planning <br />Commissioners. Under the current Compensation Ordinance, Planning Commissioners are paid monthly <br />regardless if they attend the Planning Commission meeting. It is the City Council's intent to revise the <br />current Ordinance language that would tie attendance at commission meetings.
