CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A REQUEST TO KEEP <br />THREE HEN CHICKENS AS PETS IN AN R-3 ZONING DISTRICT <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Todd Roepke, 3901 Foss Road, has submitted a written request for <br />approval from the City Council, as outlined in Subsection 1210.02, to <br />approve his request to keep three hen chickens as pets; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of St. Anthony Code of Ordinances, Section 1210.02 specifies that <br />livestock, including chickens, require approval from the City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Roepkc has provided additional information about the keeping of <br />chickens as pets; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Roepke also stated that she has spoken with his neighbors and advised <br />Staff that they are not opposed to him keeping these chickens as pets; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Roepke described the enclosures that will house the three hen chickens <br />and that it will be kept mostly inside•, and <br />WHEREAS, Staff contacted. Ramsey County Environmental Health Division regarding <br />any concerns that they have with this request and they had none, that this <br />matter was within the City's jurisdiction; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of St. Anthony has completed its <br />consideration of the request for approval to keep as pets, no more than three <br />(3) hen chickens in an R-3 Zoning District and do hereby approve this <br />request from Mr. Todd Roepke, dated.
