There will <br />dialogue at the city manager/finance director/public works director level about ways to <br />possibly share service or equipment that would benefit both cities. <br />® On February 3, 2009 he and Public Works Director Hartman accepted an award from the <br />Freshwater Society on the 8"' Annual Road Salt Symposium for efforts to reduce the <br />environmental impacts of winter road maintenance. <br />February 4, 2009 City Council work session included a discussion on a number of issues <br />including the budget and the creation of a number of meetings in the future on how to <br />move forward with the budget. <br />February 5 and 6, 2009 Public Finance Seminar which included presentations on the <br />importance of the City having a financial plan in place for a disaster. <br />February 9, 2009 Vital Aging Council meeting. There was discussion on the Adopt a <br />Bench Program, the monitors and availability of earphones in the City Council <br />Chambers, transportation options that are available, Clean -Up Day, service on the Police <br />Department 24 hour call list, and the possibility of Vital Aging Council meeting dates <br />being included on the now electronic sign in addition to the information currently being <br />included in the Village Notes and Channel 16. <br />® City Manager Mornson and he met with the city managers and mayors of Lauderdale and <br />Falcon Heights. Police Chief Ohl provided an overview for the cities. They are extremely <br />pleased with the efforts of Police Chief Ohl and the efforts of his police officers. <br />VIII.
