City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />March 24, 2009 <br />Page 2 <br />1 Police Chief Ohl recognized Police Officer Mark Dokken, Police Officer Michael Huddle and <br />2 Sergeant Jon Mangseth for their involvement in the East Metro Swat action that occurred on <br />3 December 18, 2008. <br />4 <br />5 Police Officer Huddle explained that anything with an assessment over 35 requires mandatory <br />6 swat action; the risk level on the December 18, 2008 East Metro Swat warrant was 175. He <br />7 provided a synopsis of the East Metro Swat action of December 18, 2008. <br />9 Police Chief Ohl presented Sergeant Mangseth with the St. Anthony Police Department <br />10 Commendation Award, Police Officer Dokken with the St. Anthony Department Medal of <br />11 Honor, and Police Officer Huddle with the St. Anthony Department Medal of Honor. He stated <br />12 these officers are good community members, good husbands and good fathers, and he thanked <br />13 the families for their support. <br />14 <br />15 Mayor Faust stated they are truly in the presence of heroes that walk the walk and live the talk. <br />16 These individuals earned these awards by their dedication; they were brave, heroic, and selfless. <br />17 They are the people that make the country, state and city worth living in. He thanked the officers <br />18 and families on behalf of the City Council and the community. <br />19 <br />20 C. Proclamation of George Wagner Day. <br />21 <br />22 Mayor Faust recited the proclamation proclaiming March 26, 2009 as George Wagner Day in the <br />23 City of St. Anthony Village. <br />24 <br />25 Motion by Mayor Faust, seconded by Councilmember Gray, to approve the Proclamation <br />26 Proclaiming March 26, 2009 as George Wagner Day in the City of St. Anthony Village. <br />27 <br />28 Motion carried unanimously. <br />29 <br />30 III. CONSENT AGENDA. <br />31 <br />32 A. Consider March 10 2009 Council meeting minutes. <br />33 B. Consider licenses and permits. <br />34 C. Consider payment of claims. <br />35 D. Resolution 09-034 Accept Resignation of Kim Goodwin from the Planning Commission. <br />36 E. Resolution 09-035 Approve an Appointment of Paul Cincoski to the Planning <br />37 Commission. <br />38 <br />39 Motion by Councilmember Thuesen, seconded by Councilmember Roth, to approve the Consent <br />40 Agenda items. <br />41 <br />42 Motion carried unanimously. <br />43 <br />44 IV.
