CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE RESOLUTION 09-054 RESOLUTION FORMALLY APPROVING THE 2008 CITY OF ST. ANTHONY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE WHEREAS, The City of St. Anthony was required by Minnesota Statutes to complete and submit an update to its Comprehensive Land Use Plan by December 31, 2008; and WHEREAS, the City Council selected a land use planning consultant through the Request for Proposal process in 2006 for the comprehensive land use update project; and WHEREAS, the City Council appointed a 12 -member task force to review and advise the City on land use planning issues that need to be addressed in the 2008 Comprehensive Plan Update; and WHEREAS, the planning consultant, the task force and staff prepared a draft of the 2008 Update to the City's Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, the proposed 2008 Comprehensive Plan Update was sent to the surrounding communities, Hennepin and Ramsey counties, watershed districts, school districts and other interested agencies for the six-month comment period as prescribed by MN Statute 473.858, Subd. 2; and WHEREAS, the City staff received no substantial comments; and WHEREAS, staff has resubmitted the 2008 Comprehensive Land Use Plan Update to the City's Planning Commission for additional review at their regularly scheduled Planning Commission meeting on November 18, 2008; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commissioners submitted no substantial changes, corrections or revisions to the 2008 Comprehensive Land Use Plan Update; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of St. Anthony reviewed and approved the submittal of the City's 2008 Comprehensive Land Use Plan Update to the Metropolitan Council for their approval at he November 25, 2008 Council Meeting; and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council and its various committees reviewed the City's 2008 Comprehensive Plan Update; and WHEREAS, the City received a letter dated March 27, 2009 advising the City of their recommendation to authorize the City to formally adopt the Plan, putting
