CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />RESOLUTION 09-059 <br />A RESOLUTION REGARDING RENEWAL OF MUNICIPAL INSURANCE COVERAGE <br />AND THE WAIVER OF TORT LIABILITY LIMITS FOR THE LEAGUE OF MINNESOTA <br />CITIES INSURANCE PROGRAM. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of St. Anthony hereby approves participation in the <br />League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust (LMCIT) insurance program for the <br />year 2009/2010; and <br />WHEREAS, Effective July 1, 2009, the City has elected to purchase liability coverage in the <br />amount of $1,500,000.00 per occurrence, as set forth in the MN Statutes 466.04. <br />BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony hereby approves the <br />renewal of insurance coverage through the League of Minnesota Cities at a total cost of <br />$208,592.00 for the policy period of June 1, 2009 to May 31, 2010. <br />THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony <br />hereby approves waiving of the monetary limits on tort liability established by MN statute <br />466.04 to the extent of the limits of the liability coverage obtained from the LMCIT for the <br />policy period of June 1, 2009 to May 31, 2010. <br />Adopted this 23`a day of June, 2009. <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />Review for Administration: <br />Mayor <br />City Manager <br />15 <br />
