Consider Resolution 09-069, Accept Feasibility Report and Order Plans and <br />Specifications for the 2010 Street Project. Todd Hubmer. WSB & Associates. <br />Mr. Todd Hubmer, WSB & Associates, presented an overview of the 2010 Street and Utility <br />Improvements Feasibility Report on the following improvements: <br />Street and Utility Reconstruction <br />Silver Lane from Silver Lake Road to 16d' Avenue SW <br />Bituminous Mill and Overlay <br />Old Highway 7 from Highway 88 to 33'd Avenue NE <br />Highcrest Road from 33r1 Avenue NE to 371i Avenue NE <br />Sidewalk and Street Lighting Improvements <br />Silver Lane from Stinson Boulevard to 16"' Avenue SW <br />Mr. Hubmer reviewed the proposed resolution accepting the 2010 Street and Utility <br />Improvements Feasibility Report and authorizing preparation of final plans and specifications. <br />Councilmember Thuesen noted page 1 of the executive summary lists about 2,300 feet of water <br />main and about 1,800 of sanitary sewer, which is a difference of approximately 500 feet. He <br />inquired about the difference. Mr. Hubmer replied that there is a gap in the sanitary sewer in the <br />area east of Fordum Street and the Foss Road lift station, while the water main will be replaced <br />for the entire street length. <br />Councilmember Thuesen verified with Mr. Hubmer that the improvements will be staged to <br />minimize hassle factors as much as possible. He asked if the new utilities with today's standards <br />are expected to last longer. Mr. Hubmer replied it is anticipated that the new materials will last <br />from 70 to 100 years. <br />Councilmember Roth inquired why the total cost of improvements is lower for New Brighton <br />than St. Anthony. Mr. Hubmer indicated that the higher cost allocated to St. Anthony is due to <br />the sidewalks and street lighting. <br />2 <br />
