ANTHONY BASEBALL ASSOCIATION <br />AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION AND ACCEPTANCE OF <br />GRANT FUNDS FOR CENTRAL PARK IMPROVEMENTS VIA THE HENNEPIN YOUTH <br />SPORTS PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, grant funds have been made available by Hennepin County to local units of <br />government interested in developing facilities for amateur sports or recreation; and <br />WHEREAS, the grants are awarded pursuant to guidelines established by the Hennepin <br />Youth Sports Program to allow school districts to expand youth sport facility access and use <br />and to enhance opportunities for athletics and recreation; and <br />WHEREAS, said procedures established by the Hennepin Youth Sports Program <br />Application encourage the Grantee to work cooperatively with non-profit youth <br />organizations. <br />WHEREAS, Independent School District #282 desires to improve field lighting, softball and <br />soccer field improvements addressing environmental, safety, and playing field needs for the <br />purpose of enhancing its athletic facilities to encourage further youth recreation. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Anthony Baseball Association supports <br />and endorses the filing of an application for local assistance for the above project(s). <br />BY: <br />i <br />ITS:?�Z <br />DATE: i b \ l5 \ \t:, <br />Motion by: J,Ferlzi.'1h0-4- <br />Approved: )_ Not Approved: <br />Seconded by:TUvdcLlnl <br />Tabled: <br />A 501 c(3) non-profit organization promoting baseball in Sr Anthony Village and sumounding areas <br />
