15 <br />CITY OF ST ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />RESOLUTION 10-076 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A POLICE RECORDS <br />MANAGEMENT SYSTEM <br />WHEREAS, the St. Anthony Police Department has been notified that its present records <br />management system (ENFORS) will not support current computer operating systems, <br />effectively representing the end of life of our current system; and <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department uses the records management system on a daily basis as a vital <br />tool to provide essential law enforcement services; and <br />WHEREAS, the Police Chief has met with potential vendors and determined that the best and most <br />cost effective option for the City is LETG software and partnering with the City of <br />Roseville to use resources and technology that are currently in place; and <br />WHEREAS, funding has been identified that will not impact the 2010 or 201.1. capital equipment <br />budgets. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE PT RESOLVED that: <br />1) The total cost of a new records management system will not exceed $57,000; and <br />2) A portion of the funding ($5,806.50) has already been identified through a grant and <br />additional grant funds for the project are probable; and <br />3) The balance of the cost will come from the Forfeiture Fund #230 which, as defined by <br />State Statute, falls within the parameters of allowable expenses. <br />Adopted this 9th day of November, 2010 <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />Review for Administration: <br />Mayor <br />City Manager <br />
