,7 <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To: Mayor and City Council <br />Mike Mornson, City Manger <br />From: Kim Moore -Sykes, Assistant City Manager 141 <br />.(, j <br />Date: December 14, 2010 <br />Subject: 2008 - 2010 Hennepin County Residential Recycling Grant Agreement <br />Hennepin County recently sent a letter with two (2) original copies of Amendment 1 to Residential <br />Recycling Grant Agreement. Mr. Ben Knudson wrote that in order to award 2011 SCORE Grant <br />funds which supports municipal curbside recycling, the County is asking municipalities to sign <br />both copies of the amendment to the existing 2008 - 2010 SCORE Grant Agreement thereby <br />extending the Agreement for one (1) year. <br />Mr. Knudson is requesting that the City execute two copies and return them to him, along with an <br />authorizing resolution approved by City Council. Once he has received these documents from the <br />City and the County Board has executed them, Mr. Knudson will return a signed original <br />agreement amendment for the City's files and the 2011 residential recycling grant payment. <br />A copy of the 2011 Amendment 1 to Residential Recycling Grant Agreement, as well as a copy of <br />the authorizing resolution, is attached for you review and consideration. <br />Attachments: <br />• Letter from Hennepin County, dated November 16, 2010 <br />• Copy of Amendment 1 to Residential Recycling Grant Amendment <br />• Resolution 10-082: Approving the One Year Extension of the 2008-2010 Hennepin County <br />Residential Recycling Score Grant Agreement. <br />12142010 stiff report re 2008 2010 1-Iennepin recycling agreement zmendment.doc <br />
