PROCLAMATION <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Crime Prevention Association, AAA of Minnesota and the St. <br />Anthony Police Department are sponsoring a statewide crime and drug <br />prevention program on August 2, 2011, called "Night to Unite"; and <br />WHEREAS, this is the "3.d Annual Night to Unite" in Minnesota and itprovides a unique <br />opportunityfor St. Anthony to join forces with hundreds of other communities <br />across Minnesota in promoting cooperative, police -community crime and drug <br />prevention efforts; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony plays a vital role in assisting the St. Anthony Police <br />Department through joint crime and drug prevention efforts in St. Anthony <br />and is supporting "Night to Unite 2011 " locally; and <br />WHEREAS, it is essential that all citizens of the City of St. Anthony be aware of the <br />importance of crime prevention programs and impact that their participation <br />can have on reducing crime and drug abuse in the City of St. Anthony; and <br />WHEREAS, police-communitypartnerships with neighborhood safety, awareness and <br />cooperation are important themes of the "Night to Unite "program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, we, the St. Anthony City Council, do hereby call upon all citizens of <br />City of St. Anthony to join us in supporting the 3.d Annual "Night to Unite " on August 2, 2011. <br />FURTHER, LET IT BE RESOLVED, TI -14T WE, THE ST.
