ANTHONY <br />2 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />3 SEPTEMBER 13, 2011 <br />4 <br />5 CALL TO ORDER. <br />6 <br />7 Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m <br />9 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br />10 <br />11 Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />12 <br />13 ROLL CALL. <br />14 <br />15 Present: Mayor Faust; Councilmembers Gray, Roth, and Stille. <br />16 Absent: Councilmember Jenson. <br />17 Also Present: Interim City Manager Jay Hartman and Finance Director Roger Larson. <br />18 <br />19 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING <br />20 ITEMS. <br />21 <br />22 L APPROVAL OF SEPTEMBER 13, 2011, CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. <br />23 <br />24 Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Roth, to approve the City <br />25 Council Meeting Agenda of September 13, 2011. <br />26 <br />27 Motion carried 4-0. <br />28 <br />29 I1. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. <br />30 <br />31 A. Kiwanis Peanut Day September 23 2011. <br />32 <br />33 Councilmember Stille recited the proclamation designating Friday, September 23, 2011, as St. <br />34 Anthony Kiwanis Peanut Day. <br />35 <br />36 Mr. John Dierbeck, President, Kiwanis Club of St. Anthony, thanked the City Council and the <br />37 City for its ongoing support and for the contributions from all the volunteers and members that <br />38 support the Kiwanis community programs in the City. He advised that the Kiwanis have started <br />39 a new program called "Aktion Club" and introduced Mary Dierbeck, lead adviser for Aktion <br />40 Club. He also introduced Mr. Tom Miller, Kiwanis Club of St. Anthony fundraising chairman. <br />41 <br />42 Ms. Mary Dierbeck explained that Aktion Club is a program for adults with disabilities that <br />43 started in May and meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. She stated that <br />44 Aktion Club held a special charter night on Tuesday, September 6"', and she thanked the Mayor <br />45 for his public address that evening. <br />46 <br />47 Mayor Faust expressed the City Council's thanks and appreciation to the Kiwanis members for <br />48 their dedicated service. <br />49 <br />
