The owners of record of the properties were served proper notice of <br />the delinquency and failed to contact the City regarding the outstanding charges. <br />City Ordinance 33.107 states that if an owner of a property fails to pay delinquent bills, the <br />City may levy the amounts plus interest as a special assessment against the property. This <br />section applies to all charges which may be assessed under Minnesota Statutes 429.101 and <br />444.075. <br />The amount of the assessment will be certified to the respective County Auditor and will be <br />paid with collection of the 2013 real estate taxes. <br />Recommendation: <br />Approval of Resolution 12-080; Certifying Special Assessments for Delinquent Public Utility <br />Service Accounts to the 2013 Hennepin County Tax Rolls; and Resolution 12-081; Certifying <br />Special Assessments for Delinquent Public Utility Service Accounts to the 2013 Ramsey <br />County Tax Rolls <br />
