City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />October 23, 2012 <br />Page 7 <br />1 Councilmember Stille reported on his attendance at the October 11 °i sustainability workshop and <br />2 stated the workshop focused on rain gardens, walkability, bikeability, energy and water <br />3 conservation and what it means to be sustainable from an environmental perspective. He added <br />4 the November 1st workshop will memorialize a plan for going forward. <br />6 Mayor Faust reported on his attendance at the following: <br />7 • October 11°i sustainability workshop attended by all Councilmembers. <br />8 • October 12°i dedication for the grand reopening of St. Anthony Shopping Center <br />9 • October 13'1' Fire Department Open House where over 300 people attended <br />10 • October 15°i Candidate Forum hosted by the City <br />11 • October 19°i League of Minnesota Cities Planning Committee meeting for the 2013 <br />12 conference in St. Paul. <br />13 <br />14 VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM <br />15 <br />16 Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items that <br />17 are not on the regular agenda. Hearing none, Mayor Faust moved forward with the agenda. <br />18 <br />19 IX. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. <br />20 <br />21 Mayor Faust reminded residents of the November I" sustainability workshop at 6:00 p.m. at <br />22 Silverwood Park. He invited residents to the MWMO open house on Saturday, October 27"i, <br />23 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at MWMO's new building on the corner of Lowry and Marshall. <br />24 He stated the open house will include a dedication of the new Lowry Avenue Bridge around <br />25 11:00 a.m. He also reminded residents to vote on Tuesday, November 6"i. <br />26 <br />27 X.
