MOVEMENT THROUGH THE SYSTEM: <br />A. Public Works Director and Supervisor conduct evaluation with checklist to determine whether or <br />not an individual is qualified to move to the next appropriate step and then so inform the <br />employee. <br />B. If employee disagrees with decision with justification, the employee should contact the Assistant <br />to the City Manager/Management Assistant. <br />C. The Assistant to the City Manager/Management Assistant will examine both sides and make a <br />recommendation to the City Manager who in turn will make a determination. <br />D. The employee may also utilize the formal grievance procedure included in the Public Works <br />Labor Agreement. <br />ME <br />'When placing new hires at step within this plan, previous applicable experience will be taken into <br />consideration so that new employees are properly placed. <br />20 <br />
