ANTHONY <br />2 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />3 FEBRUARY 28, 2012 <br />4 <br />5 CALL TO ORDER. <br />6 <br />7 Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />8 <br />9 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br />10 <br />1 I Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />12 <br />13 ROLL CALL. <br />14 <br />15 Present: Mayor Faust; Councilmembers Gray, Jenson, Roth, and Stille. <br />16 Absent: None. <br />17 Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey, City Attorney Jay Lindgren, City Attorney and City <br />18 Engineer Todd Hubmer. <br />19 Guest: Stacie Kvilvang (Ehlers & Associates). <br />20 <br />21 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING <br />22 ITEMS. <br />23 <br />24 I. APPROVAL OF FEBRUARY 28, 2012, REVISED CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />25 AGENDA. <br />26 <br />27 Mayor Faust explained that the dollar amount of the General Obligation Bonds, Series 2012A, in <br />28 agenda item VILC. has been revised from $9,220,000 to $9,595,000. <br />29 <br />30 Motion by Councilmember Stille, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve the City <br />31 Council Meeting Agenda of February 28, 2012, as amended. <br />32 <br />33 Motion carried unanimously. <br />34 <br />35 11. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. <br />36 <br />37 A. Resolution 12-024• To Recognize the Election of President Sauli Niinisto as the President <br />38 of Finland. <br />39 <br />40 Councilmember Roth recited the resolution recognizing the election of President Sauli Niinisto <br />41 as the President of Finland. <br />42 <br />43 Motion by Councilmember Roth, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve Resolution <br />44 12-024; To Recognize the Election of President Sauli Niinisto as the President of Finland. <br />45 <br />46 Councilmember Stille stated the City's relationship with President Sauh Niinisto is unique in that <br />47 the City has a direct tie to the President of Finland and an ability to interact with the City of Salo, <br />48 where President Niinisto previously served as chair of the Salo City Council. He indicated the <br />49 City's direct connection has produced benefits for the community as most recently noted by the <br />
