CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br />RESOLUTION 12-039 <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A REQUEST TO KEEP <br />NO MORE THAN FIVE FEMALE CHICKENS IN AN R-1 ZONING DISTRICT <br />AT 3013 29°i AVENUE NE <br />WHEREAS, Staff received a request from Eric Moore, 3013 29°i Avenue NE, about <br />whether or not the City allows chickens in the residential zoning district; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, The City of St. Anthony Code of Ordinances, Section 91.56,Keeping of <br />Certain Animals, specifies that livestock, including chickens, require <br />approval from the City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, Eric Moore has submitted a written request to keep chickens for approval <br />from the City Council, as outlined in Subsection 91.56; and <br />WHEREAS, Eric Moore has submitted a diagram of the location of the coop that will <br />house the chickens; and <br />WHEREAS, Hennepin County Environmental Health Division has stated that this matter <br />is within the City's jurisdiction and authority; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. <br />Anthony approves the request to keep no more than five (5) female <br />chickens in an R -I Zoning District at 3013 29°i Avenue NE <br />Adopted this 2701 day of March, 2012. <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />Reviewed for administration: <br />Mayor <br />City Manager <br />M, <br />
