CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br />RESOLUTION 12-070 <br />A RESOLUTION AWARDING A BID FOR 2012 LED PEDESTRIAN SAFETY <br />IMPROVEMENTS AT 34"' AVENUE AND SILVER LAKE ROAD PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a request for bids for the improvement as shown on the plan for the above - <br />referenced project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the <br />following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor Total Bid <br />Killmer Electric Co., Inc. $26,592.50 <br />Egan Company $28,210.00 <br />Design Electric, Inc. $39,367.20 <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Killmer Electric Co., Inc. of Crystal, MN is the lowest responsible <br />bidder. <br />NOW, THERI!'FORE, BE IT RESOLVED, of the City Council of the City of St. Anthony: <br />That the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br />Killmer Electric Co., Inc. in the amount of $26,592.50 in the name of the City of St. Anthony, <br />Minnesota for the improvement outlined in the above -referenced project according to the plans <br />and specifications, therefore, approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City <br />Clerk. <br />2. That the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to purchase the Tapco <br />Crosswalk System in the amount of $27,958.99 from Tapco Traffic and Parking Control Co., Inc. <br />of Brown Deer, WI as per the attached quote. <br />Adopted this 24th day of July, 2012. <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />Mayor <br />Reviewed for administration: <br />City Manager <br />11.
