Background <br />The St. Anthony Health Center wishes to construct a light well on the south side of its building at the <br />corner of Foss Road and 37th Avenue NE. The light well is intended to provide natural light into the <br />basement area where the physical therapy unit is located. Presently the area has no natural light. The <br />light well is proposed along the south side of the property, in front of the 30 -foot segment of the <br />building that protrudes out from the rest of the building. The proposed light well is slightly longer <br />than 23 feet and is five feet wide. The light well is less than three feet tall. <br />A variance is needed for the light well due to the fact that it encroaches into the required 30 -foot <br />setback along 37th Avenue NE (County Road D West). <br />57 <br />
