GENERAL BUSINESS OF COUNCIL. <br />9 <br />10 A. Autumn Woods II. Justin Messner, WSB & Associates, uresentin� <br />12 1. Update. <br />13 <br />14 Project Manager Messner provided an update regarding the Autumn Woods II project now <br />15 known as The Leg ccj� of Sl. Aw howy. Ile stated that a revised first floor plan has been submitted <br />16 which includes removal of one parlor and replacing it with one additional care unit, expansion of <br />17 the dining hall to allow more capacity as well as expansion of the kitchen area to accommodate <br />18 the expanded dining hall, reduction of the overall site elevation by 2' to better fit the existing <br />19 grades on the site and lessen the impact to surrounding properties, and revisions to the drainage <br />20 system located under the parking lot south oi'the building. He explained that storm water will be <br />21 discharged after treatment into the storm water facility along Lowry Avenue. I le added that <br />22 construction is anticipated to begin next month upon approval oi'the building permit. <br />23 <br />24 Councilmember Stille asked how many beds are being added with the removal of the parlor. Ile <br />25 also requested further information regarding the sign on the property advertising a restaurant. <br />26 <br />27 Councilmember Roth requested further information regarding collection of storm water. <br />28 <br />29 Project Manager Messner stated that storm water will be collected and treated under the site's <br />30 parking lot and treated water will be discharged into the City's storm sewer facility. <br />31 <br />32 Mr. Greg Brook, LaNel, appeared before the City Council and stated that they refer to their <br />33 dining facilities as restaurants and they are proud to serve meals prepared by first class chefs. Ile <br />34 indicated the restaurant is for use by residents, guests of' residents, and future residents and they <br />35 do not advertise the restaurant for outside guests. Ile clarified that they moved the beauty parlor <br />36 on first floor and converted that space to a bed in the care suite area for a total of 73 units <br />37 compared to the previous 72 units. Ile added they hope to begin construction in late August with <br />38 opening scheduled for September 1, 2013. <br />39 <br />40 2. Resolution 12-073; Approving the Vacation of the Sanitary Sewer L;asement. <br />41 <br />42 Motion by Councilmember Roth, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve Resolution <br />43 12-073; Approving the Vacation of the Sanitary Sewer basement (Hennepin County Document <br />44 (12524860). <br />45 <br />46 Motion carried unanimously. <br />
