ANTHONY <br />CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />AUGUST 28, 2012 <br />CALL TO ORDER. <br />Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br />Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />ROLL CALL. <br />Present: Mayor Faust; Councilmembers Gray, Jenson, Roth, and Stille. <br />Absent: None. <br />Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey, Finance Director Shelly Rueekert and Fire Chief John <br />Malenick. <br />CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING <br />ITEMS. <br />I. APPROVAL OF AUGUST 28, 2012, CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. <br />Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve the City <br />Council Meeting Agenda of August 28, 2012. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />II. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. <br />A. Introduction of Mark Erickson, St. Anthony's newest Firefighter. John Malenick <br />presenting. <br />Fire Chief Malenick introduced Mark Erickson, the City's newest firefighter, and stated Mr. <br />Erickson joined the Fire Department in 2005 as a part-time paid on call firefighter and went on to <br />complete the two-year firefighter training program. He stated Mr. Erickson is also trained as a <br />paramedic. He offered his congratulations to Mr. Erickson and welcomed him to the City. <br />Mr. Erickson expressed thanks for the opportunity to serve the City of St. Anthony and stated he <br />is excited to be here. He also expressed a special thank you to the Fire Chief and everyone on <br />the Fire Department for their support. <br />Mayor Faust stated that Mr. Erickson's training as a paramedic will provide an added benefit <br />because of the City's aging population.
