He agreed to forward Dr. Swackhamer's presentation to <br />the City Council. <br />• September 11°i MWMO meeting. He stated the MWMO board approved a $5.4 million <br />budget and $1.2 million has been designated for water purification at the southern end of <br />the City near the Autumn Woods site. <br />VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items that <br />are not on the regular agenda. Ifearing none, Mayor Faust moved forward with the agenda. <br />IX. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. <br />Mayor Faust reported that the City will be collaborating with the cities of Lauderdale and Falcon <br />Heights on sustainability efforts and the City will be hosting a forum on October 11, 2012, and <br />on November 1, 2012, at Silverwood regarding how communities can become more sustainable. <br />He stated the program will be led by University of Minnesota students and instructors as part of <br />course work related to the University's sustainability minor program. He thanked City Manager <br />Casey for initiating the forums and stated further information will be forthcoming. <br />Mayor Faust stated the LED in -pavement lighting for the pedestrian crossing in front of City <br />Hall should be operational by the end of the week. <br />X.
