B <br />City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />December 11, 2012 <br />Page 6 <br />1 Councilmember Stille: No report. He added that this has been a very good meeting this evening <br />2 as they refinanced bonds, set an operating tax levy that included many good items for revenue <br />3 generation, amended fees for a more equitable and higher revenue generator, and studied <br />4 components in Fire to see if we can do things better, which is great. <br />Councilmember Gray: No report. <br />8 Councilmember Jenson reported that at the last worksession they interviewed members for the <br />9 Parks and Planning Commissions. <br />10 <br />11 Mayor Faust thanked everyone who applied to those Commissions, adding they had interested <br />12 some great applicants. He asked that those not selected stay involved as there are always other <br />13 opportunities to serve. <br />14 <br />15 Mayor Faust reported on his attendance at the following events: <br />16 • City Water Management Executive Committee Meetings. <br />17 • Regional Council of Mayors on December 10. Mayor Faust said he attended this meeting <br />18 with the City Manager where they highlighted Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE), <br />19 a program that allows businesses to work with the government to improve property with <br />20 the bonding ability allowed in Statute 429. He likened it to the Honeywell energy <br />21 savings program, adding they will be taking this to the business community to see if <br />22 anyone is interested. Mayor Faust noted there is no direct benefit to the City but could be <br />23 a good program for corporate citizens and businesses. <br />24 <br />25 VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />26 <br />27 Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items that <br />28 are not on the regular agenda. <br />29 <br />30 Hearing none, Mayor Faust moved forward with the agenda. <br />31 <br />32 IX. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. <br />33 <br />34 Mayor Faust said this would be the last Council meeting of year and asked residents to consider <br />35 donating to the St. Anthony/New Brighton Endowment Foundation. He said their donation <br />36 would be tax deductible and if interested to contact Lia Sly at the School Board. <br />37 <br />38 X.
