CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 13-067 <br />A RESOLUTION AWARDING A BID <br />FOR THE SILVER LAKE STORM WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement forbids for the improvement as shown on the plan for the <br />above -referenced project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the <br />following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor <br />Total ]aid <br />1 Minnesota Utilities and Excavating $432,364.35 <br />Belair Excavating $477,533.81 <br />Minger Construction, Inc. $485,997.00 <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Minnesota Utilities and Excavating of Chanhassen, MN is the lowest <br />responsible bidder, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony Village that: <br />1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />with Minnesota Utilities and Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $432,364.35 in the name <br />of the City of St. Anthony Village, Minnesota for the improvement outlined in the <br />above -referenced project according to the plans and specifications, therefore, approved <br />by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The Engineer, WSB & Associates, Inc., is hereby authorized and directed to return <br />forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the <br />successful bidder and the next two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has <br />been signed. <br />Adopted this 8"' day of October, 2013. <br />ATTEST: <br />Barbara J Suciu, City Clerk <br />Reviewed for administration: <br />Jerome O Faust, Mayor <br />Mark Casey, City Manager <br />45 <br />
