CITY OF ST ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 13-069 <br />A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE IN <br />PARTNERSHIP WITH THE ST. ANTHONY SPORTS BOOSTERS TO APPLY FOI2 A <br />GRANT FROM THE MINNESOTA TWINS COMMUNITY FUND FOR THE <br />IMPROVEMENTS OF CENTRAL PARK SOFTBALL / BASEBALL DUGOUTS AND <br />BATTING CAGES <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Twins Community Fund, with the Hennepin County Board of <br />Commissioners, via the Hennepin Youth Sports Program, provides for capital <br />funds to assist local government units of Hennepin County for the development of <br />sports or recreational facilities, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony Village (local government unit, hereinafter LGU) desires <br />to develop St. Anthony Youth Softball / Baseball Dugout and Batting Cage <br />Project, hereinafter, (PROJECT). <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE: <br />I. The estimate of the total cost of developing PROJECT shall be $33,000. The LGU is <br />requesting $16,000 from the Hennepin Youth Sports Program / Minnesota Twins <br />Community Fund and will assume responsibility for a matching funds requirement of <br />$17,000. <br />IL LGIJ agrees to own and assume one hundred (100) percent of operational and <br />maintenance costs for PROJECT. LGU will operate PROJECT for its intended <br />purpose for the functional life of the facility, which is estimated to be 40 years. <br />III. LGU agrees to enter into necessary and required agreements with Hennepin County <br />for the specific purpose of developing PROJECT and managing its long-term <br />operation. <br />IV. That Mark Casey is authorized and directed to execute the application for the <br />Minnesota'rwins Community Fund / Hennepin Youth Sports Program grant. <br />Adopted this 12°i day of November, 2013 <br />ATTEST: <br />Barbara J.
