ANTHONY 2 CThY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES 3 NOVEMBER 26, 2013 4 5 CALL TO ORDER. 6 7 Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 8 9 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. 10 11 Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. 12 13 ROLL CALL... 14 15 Present: Mayor Faust; Councilmembers Gray, Jenson, Roth and Stille. 16 Absent: Nate. 17 Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey, Fire Chief John Malenick, Fire Marshal Chris Fuller, 18 Police Chief John Ohl, and City Engineer Todd Hubmer. 19 Guest: Ramsey County Sheriff Matt Bostrom. 20 21 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON AL.I, OF THE FOLLOWING 22 ITEMS. 23 24 I. APPROVAL OF NOVEMBER 26, 2013, CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. 25 26 Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve the City 27 Council Meeting Agenda of November 26, 2013. 28 29 Motion carried unanimously. 30 31 11. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. 32 33 A. 2013 Fire Prevention Poster Contest Winners. Fire Chief John Malenick presenting. 34 35 Fire Chief Malenick stated the annual fire prevention poster contest is one part of the City's fire 36 prevention program and congratulated this year's poster contest winners. He then introduced 37 Captain Chris Fuller, Fire Marshall, who is in charge of the program. 38 39 Fire Marshall Fuller stated this year's contest theme was preventing kitchen fires and they 40 received 250 posters. He stated the students did outstanding work on their posters and it was 41 difficult to pick four winners. He presented the poster contest winners with a plaque and 42 congratulated Peri Orstadius (fourth place), Lola Vanner (third place), Ajla Cerimovic (second 43 place), and Ella Bergquist (first place). IIe also thanked all the students for making posters. 44 45 Mayor Faust expressed the City Council's congratulations to the fire prevention poster contest 46 winners and stated the community is proud of them. 47 48 111.
