<br />Valuation of the permits is broken down into two categories: residential
<br />and commercial/industrial. In 2013, the valuation breakdown was as
<br />follows:
<br />• Residential Valuation: $19,409,844
<br />• Commercial/Industrial Valuation: $669,605
<br />Historical Building Permit data from the past six years refl ects that the
<br />quantity of permits pulled in 2013 is beginning to increase over the dip in
<br />2012, refl ecting numbers consistent with 2010. Valuation for residential
<br />development is higher in 2013 than previous in 2012.
<br />BUILDING PERMITS
<br />303 Building Permits were pulled in 2013. These permits range from new development to small
<br />remodeling projects.

<br />In 2013, the City Council reviewed and approved a site plan for a Dominium development named
<br />“The Senior Landings at Silver Lake Village”, a 172 unit affordable senior apartment development.
<br />New businesses that opened in 2013 include:
