CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 14-018 <br />A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR THE MOVE MN CAMPAIGN <br />WHEREAS, the Move MN Campaign is committed to addressing Minnesota's urgent <br />transportation needs - roads, bridges, transit, bicycle and pedestrian connections; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the campaign consists of a growing diverse coalition of private and public sector <br />interests, non -profits and educational organizations dedicated to eliminating the <br />state's transportation infrastructure deficits and creating new funding that will <br />enable Minnesota to properly maintain and improve its transportation assets; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony Village recognizes that transportation investments provide <br />benefits beyond new infrastructure, including creating jobs, building economic <br />competitiveness, and improving the quality of life for all Minnesotans by enabling <br />the state to properly maintain and improve transportation assets that expand access <br />and opportunity for all; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony Village affirms that in order to create greater transportation <br />system efficiencies and effectiveness, the new state-wide transportation funding <br />package must be: <br />Balanced across transportation modes and between Greater Minnesota and <br />the MSP Metropolitan Region, serving all Minnesotans equitably. <br />Sustainable, including providing long-term solutions that will enable the <br />economy and the people of our state to prosper. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Council of the City of St. Anthony Village, <br />Minnesota that the City of St. Anthony Village hereby supports the goals of the Move MN <br />Campaign. <br />Adopted on this 28th day of lanuar 2014 <br />l A <br />Jerome O.
