SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
August 31, 1976
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Miedtke at 7:38 p.m.
Present for roll call: Haik, Miedtke, Sauer and Stauffer
Absent: Sundland
Also present: Jerry Dulgar, City Manager
Monroe Hall, Fire Chief
Carol Johnson, Clerk/Treasurer
Ed Brown, Police Chief
Donald Hickerson, Deputy Police Chief
Larry Hamer, Supt. of Public Works
The Council discussed the need for an ordinance amendment to allow for
adoption of Chapter 70 of the Uniform Building Code.
Discussions where held with each department head regarding their 1977
budget requests and the general operation of the respective departments.
The Council discussed the establishment of a task force to review and
report to the Council and the school board regarding the transfer of the
Community Services Department.
Motion by Councilman Stauffer and seconded by Councilman Haik to
designate Councilman Sauer and Jerry Dulgar, City Manager as the city's
members of the task force.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Councilman Haik and seconded by Councilman Sauer to adjourn
the meeting at 10:17 p.m.
Motion carried unanimously.
