SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
September 21, 1976
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Miedtke at 7:38 P.M.
Present for roll call: Miedtke, Haik, Stauffer and Sundland
Absent: Sauer
Also present: Jerry Dulgar, City Manager
Ed Brown, Police Chief
Don Hickerson, Deputy Police Chief
The Council discussed their request for additional manpower with
Chief Brown and Deputy Chief Hickerson. Discussion ensured regarding
one man patrol cars, establishment of a police auxilary and the
operation of the department in general.
The Council discussed the advisability of rescheduling the September
28th meeting because of conflicts that Council members and staff
foresee.
Motion by Councilman Haik and seconded by Councilman Stauffer to
cancel the September 28th Council meeting and to call a meeting for
October 5th 1976 at 7:30 P.M.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Councilman Sundland and seconded by Councilman Stauffer to
adjourn the meeting at 10:15 P.M.
Motion carried unanimously.
