b. Resolution 76-010 A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING DIRECTOR AND ALTERNATE TO
THE SUBURBAN RATE AUTHORITY. Councilman Stauffer is
presently Director and Jerry Dulgar is Alternate.

7. Old Business
a. Discussion of car shelter on 29th. The Council requested that this item
be tabled to this meeting so some members could view the shelter.

b. Request by Richard Ernst regarding replatting-rezoning of property N & W
of Standard Oil Station at 37th Avenue and Silver Lake Road. I have been able
to contact three of the individuals who were councilmen at that time but am
awaitigg response from one of them and hope to be- able to contact one more
regarding their reasons for requiring the property to be one parcel .
have requested an opinion from Larry Vickrey regarding the parking on the
light industrial property and whether that will require rezoning or not. I
hope to have that opinion for the meeting.
Ramsey County indicates .to me that there will be a median barrier from Silver
Lake Road to the railroad bridge but they will allow a curb cut for the
restaurant. They also indicated that they felt that a curb cut on 37th would
be necessary for the traffic to function properly.

8. New Business
a. Appointment of Citizens Committee regarding sewers. Attached please find
copies of the information sheets that the prospective committee members
were requested to fill out. You will note that some of the prospective
appointees objected to answering the questions, etc. Frankly I find their
objections rather picky and would only add that I don't believe the Council has
'01 in the past appointed people to the Planning Commission without finding out
most of these same things about the prospective members. I have heard nothing
from the other people on the attached list.

b. 1976 Contract between the City and Teamsters Local 320 for Fire Department
The business agent requested that we consider the contract on this agenda and

- indicated he would .have it to me. I haven't received it to date but hope to

9. Communications/Petitions . -
a. Information regarding Hennepin County Redistricting Plan - Informational
b. Mpls. Park Board regarding request for stop sign. Information attached.
I have talked .to the Police Department and they indicate there have been very
few accidents .at that location and they see no need for a stop at that
location. .

ACTION: Recommend we follow Mpls City engineers offices recommendation and
� not install signs.
C. Letter from State of Minnesota regarding reimbursement for 29th. -Letter
attached. I have met with _the District 5 Engineer and. the District 5 State
' Aid Engineer and -they are supposed to get back to me -with a solid figure. I
do know that some of the residents expect that we will get a lot more
than the figure listed in the letter. At least one resident has already
called me and indicated we shouldn't settle for this low amount.
