6. Ordinances and Resolutions
a. Ordinance relating to possession of a small amount of marijuana. The
enclosed ordinance was made necessary by changes the legislature made in the
law regarding possession of marijuana.
ACTION: Recommend we waive rt-ading and adopt.
7. Old Business
a. Zoning Ordinance Discussion. Please remember to bring the information
furnished to you regarding the latest edition of the ordinance.
ACTION: Solicit input.
b. Discussion of 29th Improvement Project. Councilmen Haik and Sundland,
City Engineer Ice Comstock and City Manager Jerry Dulgar have met with Mr.
Gordon Feye, Minnesota Highway Department state aid engineer, and residents
from 29th regarding the changes the Minnesota Highway Department State Aid
Office required in the project. The residents on 29th have met to discuss
the plans also. The Council should discuss the 'advisability of going ahead
with the project this year or just authorizing the plans etc. and being
ready to go ahead early next year when we can be more sure of completing
the project.
ACTION: Council
8. New Business
a. Wayne .Lenard of Ramey County at 8 P.M. regarding County Road D Improvement
seeking width, grade and alignment approval . (Letter from Hennepin County
regarding same.)
ACTION: Recommend that we adopt resolution so counties can proceed but only
if we fully understand the plans and project and make it clear to counties
that financial contribution by city is still negotiable and that we plan to
use state aid for our portion that is not assessed.
b. Discussion of trading stolen motorcycles we have recovered for one good
cycle for police work. The City presently has several stolen motorcycles
in our possession that we have recovered and I would like to trade one or
more of them in for one good new cycle that we can use for patrol work.

The city has men who are qualified and willing to work on one and I feel
we would add a new prospective to our force that could be helpful in
-� halting some vandalism, etc.
ACTION: Recommend approval .
c. Motion to request Mayor to send letter to Garden Clubs and Lions Club
for planting area adjacent to St. Anthony Boulevard, Silver Lake Road and
TH8. Mayor Miedtke requested that this be on the agenda and will offer
his comments.

9. Communications & Petitions
a. Information from Hennepin County Safety Communications Interim User
Board. Attached please find some background information on the proposed
new Hennepin County communications system. I will try to answer any addition-
al questions you might have.
ACTION: Recommend Council vote to join in agreement for new communications
system. I do this with reluctance because it is impossible to determine our
exact costs at this time but I feel we. have no viable alternative.
b. Mrs. Jaycees regarding Bike Hike-Informational .

a. Sewer Committee Report-Report is attached.

a. Report regarding Mayor & Administrative Assistant meeting with Metro
Council Human Resources Committee regarding Community Development Grant
Application. Mayor Miedtke and Jim Fornell will be meeting with the
Committee on Monday evening and will have a report for the Council .

a. SROGA's Standard-Vending & Service Station licenses
ACTION: Recommend approval .
12. Payments
