c. Board of Review Minutes 5/18/76. Mr. Harold Hudson of the Hennepin
County Assessor's office contacted us on the 19th and informed us that we
wouldn ' t be able to have our second Board of Review on June 8th as that would
be 21 days after our 1st meeting. Mayor Mi.edtke and I have discussed having
the meeting June 1st and working on the zoning ordinance afterward.

7. Old Business
a. Dick Ernst for Bryant Investment Company regarding rezoning of property
located on Kenzie Terrace between G & G Body Shop and Legion Club. Mr.
Ernst had indicated that he doesn' t feel he can delay any longer and must
pursue his rezoning request.
ACTION: Council
8. New Business
a. 49'er Demands for 1977. Attached please find a copy of the demands. In
total they represent somewhere between 85%-100% increase over present salary
and benefits. In addition you will find a copy of the MAMA 491er negotiating"
committee response.
ACTION: Recommend we authorize committee to negotiate both salary and
master contract language.
b. Discuss reviewing zoning ordinance June 1st after Board of Review.

• c. Discussion of ordinances regarding landing helicopters and dances.
Attached please find a copy of the Bloomington ordinance regarding
helicopters. Bloomington is the only community that I know of that has
any regulations on helicopters landing. You will find attached to that the
FAA regulations regardinghelicopters landing. This ordinance was
requested by the police department after a request to land in the village.
We have had no problems to date.

Dance Ordinance-Letter from City Attorney attached. The police department
feels we need some sort of ordinance due to some problems we have had
• at dances in the village.
• ACTION: Council . In my review of police logs, reports, etc. I have
not noted many problems with dances although we have had some.
e. Discussion of payment to Gayle Bromander for pants ruined in Central Park.
Mayor Miedtke will discuss.
9• Communications & Petitions
a. League of Minnesota Municipalities Legislative Policy. We .should discuss
the league legislative program and offer guidelines to those going to the
League of Minnesota Municipalities Conference in Duluth.
b. Metro Waste Commission-The attached letter explains why our sewer bill
will increase $17,538.52 next year. That increase should be reduced sub-
stantially in the future with our steps to reduce inflow and infiltration and
the dry year this year.
10. Reports
a. Police Report for April . Report attached please call if you have any
questions.

10A. Reports by Mayor, Manager 6 Councilmen
a. Manager regarding unifomrs for office employees. The supplier who was
originally contracted with to supply outfits for the office employees was
never able to satisfactorily fill the order and agreed to take back what
merchandise he-'did supply at no cost to the city. Since then we have
contracted with another supplier to provide the outfits and the employees
would like the council to increase the allowance since nothing was spent last
year. We originally agreed to a $125.00 allowance.

b. Manager regarding June 18 Council/School Board lunch 1 :00 Haystack,
golf at 2:30 at Gross Golf Course and picnic lunch at 7:00.
I need to know how many can attend, etc.
10 Report -Ice Comstock regarding Sewer Report. Specifically recommends that
29th Avenue sewer be replaced.
11 . Verified Claims
• 12. Licenses- Vending-Lance Company at Pennys & St. Anthony Lanes
All verified recommend approval .
13. Payments
Comstock & Davis $21 ,328.25 Ice will be present to discuss his firm's bill
with the Council .
