COUNCIL MINUTES
September 16 , 1980
The meeting was. called to order by Mayor. Haik at 7 :05 P.M.
Present: Haik, Sundland, Letourneau, Marks.
Absent: Ranallo.
Also present: Fornell, Hall, .Entner and Johnson of the City staff.
Chief Hall. and Assistant Chief Entner led. the Council on a lengthy
discussion about the fire department. The salient points were:
(1) Modifications in deployment for which the Council expressed
tentative support.. Modifications in crew size are to be reviewed
in the future.
(2) Assistant Chief- Entner's goals and objectives for the department.
(3) Communications equipment and the need to- have a high capability
• Reserve response, very dependent on- communications.
(4) Equipment needs .
(5) Medical response capability.
Councilman Ranallo. arrived at 8 :30 P.M.
Motion by Marks; seconded .by Haik to adjourn at 9 :15 P.M.
Motion carried unanimously.
