COUNCIL MINUTES
September 18, 1980
The meeting was called. to .order at 7 :05 P.M. by Mayor Pro Tem Sundland.
Present: Sundland, Letourneau, Marks, Ranallo.
Absent: 'Haik.
. Also present: Fornell, Hickerson and Johnson of .the City staff .
Chief Hickerson led the Council in .a long discussion about the
police department. . The major .topics were:
(1) Manning levels and staffing.
(2) Programs offered the public.
(3) Crime rates and trends .
(4) Investigative caseloads.
(5) Training .and. equipment needs.
(6)' Youth relations.
(7) Volunteer activities. :
Motion by Ranallo, seconded by Marks to adjourn at 9 :30 P.M.
Motion carried unanimously. ..
