CITY OF ST. ANTHONY
COUNCIL MINUTES
April 1, 1981
The meeting was called to order at 4 : 55 P.M.
Present: Marks, Haik, Ranallo, Letourneau.
Absent: Sundland.
The Council discussed the search process for . a new City Manager
and the transition period.
Discussion ensued on the contents of an advertisement for the
vacancy. The consensus wasthat a degree is desired, management
experience preferred and that the salary is negotiable with the
current salary stated.
Motion by Mayor Haik and seconded by Councilman Marks to direct the
Manager to place ads and to .establish a cut-off date of May 30 ,
1981 .
Voting on the motion:
Aye: Marks, Haik, Letourneau
• Nay: Ranallo
Motion carried.
It was also decided that a Council "committee of the whole" will review
the applications.
A special Council meeting is to be set for Tuesday, April 7 , 1981
at 7 : 00 P.M. to develop a profile of abilities, education, and qualities
desired and to discuss transition staffing. Department heads are
to be invited or their comments solicited.
Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Mayor Haik to adjourn.
Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned at 5 :40 P.M.
