3 ADOPTION MEETING MINUTES
4 DECEMBER 18, 1996
5 I. CALL TO ORDER.
6 The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. following the Pledge of Allegiance led by Mayor
7 Ranallo.
8 II. ROLL CALL.
9 Councilmembers Present: Ranallo, Marks, Enrooth, Wagner, and Faust.
10 Also Present: City Manager Michael Morrison, Liquor Operations Manager Michael Larson and
11 City Attorney William Soth.

13 III. OPEN MEETING TO SET 1997 TAX LEVY.
14 Mayor Ranallo declared the public hearing open at 7:02 P.M.
15 IV. APPROVAL OF DECEMBER 4, 1996 TRUTH IN TAXATION PUBLIC HEARING
16 MEETING MINUTES.
17 Motion by Marks, second by Wagner.to approve the December 4, 1996 Truth in Taxation Public
0 Hearing Meeting Minutes with the following changes:
19 Page 1, Line 27 before "the" insert"even though", before "increased" insert"marginally", and
20 remove the word "but".
21 Motion carried unanimously.

23 V. DISCUSSION ON SETTING 1997 BUDGET AND TAX LEVY.
24 Mayor Ranallo noted there were no residents in the audience who wished to speak regarding this
25 issue.
26 VI. RESOLUTION 96-066,RE: ADOPTION OF 1997 CERTIFICATION LEVY.
27 Motion by Marks, second by Wagner to approve Resolution 96-066 regarding, Certifying the
28 City of St. Anthony 1997 Tax Levy at$1,679,546 and Budget at $5,559,175 in compliance with
29 the Truth in Taxation Act.
30 Motion carried unanimously.
31 VII. CLOSE PUBLIC HEARING.
32 Motion by Enrooth, second by Marks to close the Public Hearing at 7:05 P.M.

1 Mayor Ranallo explained that the components of the 1997 Budget can be changed and the total
2 amount can be reduced but cannot be increased.
3 VIII. ADJOURNMENT.
4 Motion by Marks, second by Enrooth to adjourn the meeting at 7:07 P.M.
5 Motion carried unanimously.
