ANTHONY RESOLUTION 93-066 A RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on October 12, 1993, the engineering firm of Rieke, Carroll, Muller has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of 32nd Avenue N.E. from Rankin Road to Silver Lake Road; Hilldale Avenue N.E. from Rankin Road to Silver Lake Road; Croft Drive from 32nd Avenue N.E. to 33rd Avenue N.E.; Skycroft Drive from 32nd Avenue N.E. to 33rd Avenue N.E.; 31st Avenue_N.E. from Rankin Road to Silver Lake Road; Rankin Road from 32nd Avenue N.E. to 33rd Avenue N.E.; and 32nd Avenue N.E. from Croft Drive to RankinRoad and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony, Minnesota: 1) Such plans and specifications are hereby approved; 2) The consulting engineering firm shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for two days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be opened and bids the responsibility of the bidders will be considered by the City Council at 7:00 P.M. on December 28, 1993, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of St. Anthony for Five (5%) percent of the amount of such bid. ANTHONY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Proposed property taxes for 1994 The City of St. Anthony is proposing to levy $1,228,617.00 in property taxes it collects for 1994. Attend the Public Hearing The property tax amounts below compare the City of St. Anthony's 1993 property taxes with the property taxes the City proposes to collect in 1994: - - Actual - Proposed 1993 Property 1994 Property Taxes Taxes Total Levy $1,694,615.00 $1,776,608.00 H.A.C.A. All concerned citizens of St. Anthony are invited to attend a public hearing where the City Council will discuss the proposed levy. At this hearing, Council will announce the date, time, and location for its subsequent hearing to adopt its final payable 1994 tax levy and budget.
