RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF TEIE REVISED CITC OF
ST. ANTHONY GRANT APPLICATION TO HENNEPIN COUNTY FOR
INCLUSION IN THE URBAN HENNEPIN COUNTY COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLACK GRANT APPLICATION, IN ACCORD WITH THE
HOUSING AMID COMMUNITY DEVEIAPMENT ACT OF 1974.
WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony has executed a joint powers agreement
with Hennepin County thereby agreeing to participate in a Grant
Application under the Urban County designation provided for in the
Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, and
WHEREAS., a grant application has been prepared requesting funds to
undertake a community development program, including appropriate
citizen participation, goal establishment and implementation plans
and procedures.
WHERFAS, the Housing Assistance Plan prepared by the Cit•J of St. Anthony
and contained in the original grant application was not in conformation
with Metropolitan Council housing policy.
WHEREAS, the City has revised the Housing Assistance Plan to conform to the
variance granted to the City from the housing policy by the Human Resources
Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE) BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of St.
Anthony does hereby approve the revision of the proposed Community Development
Plan and Program and Housing Assistance Plan and authorizes submission of
said revisions to Hennepin County as the Urban County Community Development
Block Grant Applicant.
