RESOLUTION 76--029
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TREE REMOVAL -SUBSIDY
PROGRAM AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM THE
COUNCIL'S CONTINGENCY -TO FINANCE THE PROGRAM
WHEREAS the incidents of Dutch Elm and Oak Wrlt -have _
escalated dramatically in St., Anthony during 1976 and
WHEREAS the removal of diseased trees is often times an
unbearable burden upon residents and
WHEREAS it is in the best interest of all of the residents
of the City of St. Anthony to further the disease control program
of the City by insuring the prompt removal of trees diseased with
Dutch Elm and Oak Wilt disease
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of St. Anthony hereby authorizes a local subsidy program
for the removal of diseased elm and oak trees and appropriates .
$4;000 .00 from the Council' s contingency for fiscal year 1976 .
