RESOLUTION 80-022
A RESOLUTION ELIMINATING THE POSITION
• OF FIRE MOTOR OPERATOR FROM THE ORGANI-
ZATIONAL STRUCTURE OF THE ST. ANTHONY
FIRE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the . St. Anthony Fire Department presently has the
following job classifications: Firefighter, Fire Motor Operator,
and Captain,
WHEREAS, The City has the sole authority to create, modify, and
eliminate job classifications and define organizational structure
under Minnesota Statutes 179 .66, Subdivision 1,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to eliminate the position`of Fire
Motor Operator n interest of efficiency. .

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the position of Fire Motor
Operator is hereby eliminated from the organizational structure
of the St. Anthony Fire Department effective March 28 , 1980.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby directed to
reflect the job responsibilities of the Fire Motor Operator position
in the job description of full time Firefighter and the present
Reserve/Part• Paid 'Fire Motor Operator job classification is to be
considered Firefighter-Equipment Operator.
• BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all present full time Fire Motor
Operators shall be reclassified as step five (top step) Firefighters
for the purpose of determining wages and benefits attendant thereto.
