A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR AN ASSESSMENT
HEARING IN. THE HIGHCREST ROAD IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT (.1979-001) AND DETERMINING THE AMOUNT
THE CITY WILL PAY
Whereas, Project 1979-001 has been substantially completed
Whereas, .costs have been determined with close accuracy
Now, Therefore -Be It Resolved that of the total project costs,
the City will pay accordingly:
City paid using M.S .A. funds $125 ,000 .00
City paid using Fund 10A funds 55,535 .59
(Assessment amount-proposed) 49 ,741.08
(M.W.C.C. funds) 10 ,200 .00
Total $240 ,476 .67
Be It Further Resolved that the City Council shall have a
• meeting in a public hearing on Tuesday, September 9 , 1980
at 8 :3.0 P.M. to consider objections to the assessments, which
must be in writing and the City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish and mail notice pursuant to state law.

NOTICE OF HEARING ON ASSESSMENTS
FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT (HIGHCREST ROAD)
PROJECT NO. 1979-001
Notice is hereby given that the City Council- of the City of
St. Anthony, Minnesota, will meet in the Council Chambers of
Park View, 330.1 Silver Lake Road, Center N.E. corner)_ on Tuesday,
September 9 , 1980, at 8:30 _ P.M.., to hear, consider and pass upon
all written objections, if any, to. proposed assessments in respect
to Street Improvement _Project No. 1979-001. The proposed assess-
ment roll _ is now on file and .open to public inspection by all
persons interested in the office of the City Clerk.
The general nature of Street Improvement. Project No. 1979-001 is
a bituminous roadway, curbing, sanitary sewer line repairs and
appurtenances. The area proposed to� be assessed consists of all
parcels of land in the City of St. Anthony which abut on Highcrest
Road south of 37th Avenue N.E.
This notice is given pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429
as amended. The area proposed. to be .assessed for such improvement
is the area described above. The total cost of such improvement
is $2.40 ,476.67 of- which $49 ,-741..08.. is to be assessed to the property
• owners of said. area. Such persons as desire to . be heard with
reference to the proposed assessments will be heard at this meet-
ing. (Objections must be in .writing. )
An owner may appeal an assessment to District Court pursuant to
Minnesota Statutes, .Section 429 .081 by serving Notice of the
Appeal upon the Mayor or Manager of the municipality within 30 days
after the adoption of the assessment and filing such notice with
the District Court within ten days after service upon the Mayor
or Manager.
Persons who are 65 years ,of agq or older may make application for
a deferral of assessments to be levied against homestead property
if a hardship can be established pursuant to MSA 435 .193 through
435. 195.
