RESOLUTION 80-086
A RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE AMENDMENTS
.TO THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE
RICE CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City Council is elected to govern the City of St.
Anthony and assumes responsibility for the reasonable control of
run-off and protection of wetlands.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of St. Anthony strongly
opposes the amendment to adopt rules and regulations under M.S.A.
112 . 43 Managers: Powers, Duties.
NOW, -THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED-, the City Council of the City of
St. Anthony opposes the proposed amendment changes to Chapter 112 .43 ,
as proposed by the Managers as an unreasonable extension of the
powers of the Managers based upon incomplete and inconclusive proof
as to the administrative necessity.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City . Council supports the establish-
ment of a joint, representative task force to study watershed
management as was expressed at the December 4th, 1980 meeting of
the District Managers.
