A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND ACTING
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PROPOSAL
FROM SHORT-ELLIOTT-HENDRICKSON, INC.
WHEREAS, Short-Elliott-Hendrickson, Inc. has submitted a
feasibility and cost study for watermain construction on
37th Avenue N.E. (.Co.. Rd. D) ; and
WHEREAS , Short-Elliott-Hendrickson, Inc. has also submitted
a .proposal for engineering services for plans and -specifica-
tions and construction observation of watermain relocation
and replacement on 37th Avenue N.E: (Co. Rd. D) from Silver
Lake Road to Highcrest Road, not to exceed $3 ,300 plus a
stated fee for construction observation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Acting
City Manager are authorized to execute said proposal on
behalf of the City of St. Anthony.

REPLACEMENT

Pursuant to a request from Mr. Larry Hamer, Director of Public
Works, we are pleased to submit our proposal for engineering
• services for plans and specifications and construction obser-
vation of watermain relocation and replacement on 37th Ave. N.E.
(Co. Rd. D) from Silver Lake Road to Highcrest Road.
Ramsey County will be preparing plans and specifications for the
reconstruction of 37th Ave. N.E. (Co. Rd. D) during 1982. The
plans and specifications for the watermain relocation and
replacement will be incorporated into the plans and specifications
for the 37th Ave. N. E. (Co. Rd. D) reconstruction project and bid
as a single project.
The plans and specifications will be based on our report for the
project dated July 14, 1981.

Our compensation for the plans and specifications shall be a lump
sum of $3, 300. 00. Our compensation for construction observation
(periodic visits at the site with city inspector) shall be on the
basis of $37. 00 per hour plus mileage .expenses at the rate per
mile paid to our employee.
It is to be specifically understood that the engineering services
in this proposal do not include the cost of laboratory analysis,
surveys, soil borings or full time inspection. These items will
be furnished on request and our actual cost therefor.
• We shall consider this proposal an agreement between us upon it' s
acceptance by you and your notification in writing to proceed.
